It’s been a minute since we last posted anything on Ciara so I thought I would share these candids with you all.Ciara was spotted last night out on the town taking in the vibes at Rich Boy’s album release party.We love CiCi and all but sista could have thrown on some concealer before she left the house.Girlfriend is a star now and needs to recognize that cameras will always be on her when she steps outside the confines of her home.On a high note- the sistas shoes are fierce and totally save her outfit.Check her out below and click over to participate in our poll of the day.

The Soul Train Awards were taped last night in Pasadena, California and the big winners of the evening, including Beyonce Knowles, Jamie Foxx, Mary J. Blige, and John Legend were all no shows.Even Janet Jackson, who did show up to support her S/O did not walk the red carpet or sit in the audience during the taping of the show.Instead Janet was photographed in the back dressed like she was on her way to do her laundry.I remember not so long ago when Soul Train was the only musical awards show for our people but over time I guess that has changed and apparently Black music’s elite have chosen to turn their backs on the show and instead show up in droves to support the corporate owned BET Awards. TSK! TSK!

Singer Janet Jackson has officially come on board to star in Tyler Perry’s next movie, “Why Did I Get Married”, based on the filmmaker’s stage play of the same name.Filming is scheduled to begin March 5th. in Vancouver and eventually move to Atlanta where Perry has set up his own studio.Sharon Leal, who co-starred in Dreamgirls and Jill Scott are also confirmed to be in the film. “Why Did I Get Married” revolves around a couple who go away with friends every winter to examine their marriages in a group setting.

With The Oscars just days away so much is happening in Hollywood- and Black Hollywood in particular.Tons of events are being held everyday to honor the accomplishments of Black men and women and such was the case last night when Ebony Magazine honored Halle Berry and Janet Jackson.We reported to you last week that Ebony was planning to throw a special shindig to celebrate African Americans who have made a difference in the world of music, film and television.Well that shindig went down last night and you can check out the pics below. Back in the early 90’s when talk of a Dreamgirls movie first surfaced, lots of names were being tossed around to play the role of Deena and everyone from Whitney Houston to Janet Jackson was being considered.Personally, I could have totally seen Janet playing the role of the “tiny voiced” singer who kicks the Effie character to the curb to have her moment in the sun.Fast forward almost 20 years and we now have Janet showing up to help honor another talented sista who did become a Dreamgirl.Last night Giant Magazine threw a party to celebrate Jennifer Hudson’s Oscar nomination and Janet was there showing her support and looking pretty darn good in the process.Check her out. Awwww how sweet! After wrapping up production on Janet Jackson’s new “So Excited” video, Director Joseph Khan presented Janet with a cake in honor of her upcoming album.Looks good doesn’t it?

More Janet pics from her Vibe photoshoot have surfaced and they are quite stunning.After seeing so many pics from this shoot, one wonders why Vibe chose to use the cover photo they did.Any of the photos below would have made a stunning cover.Janet looks absolutely beautiful.
