Jazmine Sullivan hit up Live with Kelly and Michael earlier today to perform her single Masterpiece. The track is the latest to be released from her Reality TV album, and is one of my favorites. Jazmine turns in an incredible performance, accompanied only by an acoustic guitar. Masterpiece is truly a gorgeous song, one that would probably receive more recognition had it been sung by a more mainstream singer.
Singers Brandy and Jasmine Sullivan were both of hand Saturday evening to celebrate the 5th Annual BET Music Matters Grammy Showcase. The two R&B divas took to the stage together, but sadly did not perform. Both singers will be attending the Grammy ceremony tonight, Brandy as a presenter and Jazmine as a three-time nominee. Here’s hoping Jazmine finally walks away with a statuette. She’s been nominated eleven times in total.
One of my favorite artists has reappeared on the music scene. 90’s R n’ B Queen, Deborah Cox, performed at the 2009 Central Park Summer Stage Concert over the weekend.
Deborah was joined by 2 more 90s R n’ B stars, Case and John B.
The rookie on the scene, Jazmine Sullivan, wasn’t about to be upstaged. The newest diva on the block appeared to easily hold her own in the midst of all the veterans.
Up and coming R n’ B artist Jasmine Sullivan, a recipient of five Grammy nominations, takes a leap into acting with her first film role to begin shooting in April. The Philadelphia singer/songwriter has a plum role in director Anthony Hemingway’s “Red Tails,” reports Billboard. “I play a singer who entertains soldiers,” says Sullivan, who will appear in the movie alongside current touring partner Ne-Yo. “I’m really just entertainment for them, but I kind of get a little relationship going with one of them. So that’s very exciting.” “I used to act when I was younger, in little plays,” adds Sullivan, who attended Philadelphia’s Creative and Performing Arts high school.
Jazmine Sullivan walks down the yellow brick road or heartache in her latest video, Lions, Tigers & Bears. This is the third single from the singer’s Fearless cd.
