Singer Kelly Rowland is taking time off from the music business to concentrate on her television aspirations. AOL Black Voices is reporting that Kelly recently shot a pilot for a new lifestyle and travel show, and with a few phone calls and e-mails; I was actually able to get my hands on a few pics of Kelly on location in Miami Beach shooting the pilot for that show. Though word of Kelly’s new series is just now hitting the net, the taping of the show actually began way back in early May. Kelly’s tentatively titled show is “Around The World” and is said to be an updated and hipper version of Lifestyle’s of the Rich & Famous. The show will feature Kelly showcasing the hottest in food, hotels, restaurant and party destinations around the world. Early word has networks very impressed with Kelly’s new show, with Bravo, Style Network and Oprah’s OWN channel having expressed an interest in picking the show up for the fall 2008-2009 season.

Singer Kelly Rowland had her headline performance at the Great American Gay Day 2008 rudely interrupted when she narrowly missed getting hit in the face by a fan’s hat. Kelly was halfway through her performance at the California event when a devoted fan threw his white hat on the stage- almost hitting the singer in the face. Kelly’s band quickly came to stop as she demanded the hat thrower reveal himself. After being pointed out by the crowd the over excited fan apparently apologized, leading Kelly to return his hat, apologize to her fans, and then get right back into her performance.

In between promoting her new digital album and reportedly recording a third cd, singer Kelly Rowland has decided to spread her wings a bit and write a children’s novel. After performing at the VIP room this past Friday, the singer told People magazine “I’m getting into different ventures. I’m in the process of writing a children’s book. Everything is confidential right now, but I’m really excited because I’ve talked to some different publishing companies and got some people interested.” Kelly says she was inspired to write a children’s book by the presence of her five godchildren and missing her family while out on tour and doing promotional jaunts overseas.

The UK sure does love them some Kelly Rowland. The singer has devoted quite a bit of her time over the last few weeks to promoting the re-release of her 2007 CD, Miss Kelly. This past week alone Kelly appeared on several UK television shows- including a show called Loose Women, which is suppose to be the UK version of The View. Kelly also gave a sit down interview and performed her new single Daylight.

Singer Kelly Rowland was spotted yesterday enjoying her downtime on the beaches of Miami, Florida. The “DC3″ singer will soon be hitting the road again to promote the re-release of her Miss Kelly CD. Along with her album release duties, Kelly has also been appointed as the official 2008 Ambassador for the MTV Staying Alive Foundation, an organization that recognizes young people who are protecting themselves and their communities against HIV and AIDS. Kelly will begin work for the organization during her tour of Africa, which is scheduled to begin June 20th.

Singer Kelly Rowland is keeping her fans abreast of her career plans by posting a series of diary clips on her My Space page. Kelly’s upcoming digital re-release of Miss Kelly is due to hit digital retailers on March 25th. Do go out and support Miss Kelly because her CD is really a gem that I think many will like- if only they give it a chance.

Singer Kelly Rowland admits in the lastest issue of People Magazine that she did indeed have her breasts enlarged. Kelly went from a size A cup to a B cup and denies the rumor that she did it to compete with fellow Destiny’s Child member, Beyonce. Rather, Kelly says she did it to simply feel more beautiful and to fit into more fashionable clothing. And as for those rumors of her posing for Playboy, Playboy released a statement today denying Kelly would be featured in their magazine, but did say if she was willing they’d be game. Check out Kelly Rowland above walking the red carpet at tonight’s Brit Awards. Kelly is only scheduled to be a presenter at tonight’s festivities, even though her single “work” is currently a UK Top 10 hit. Unlike the US, the UK has been very supportive of Kelly’s new CD, Miss Kelly and rightfully so- it is a very solid CD. Kelly’s dress above is very cute and maybe some of the fashionistas here can remind me who this dress is by. It’s the same one Rihanna wore for her You Magazine photo shoot and it definitely looks best on a tall slender frame. Kelly wears it very well.
