Soulful diva and ‘Smooth Touch’ cover girl, Keyshia Cole, is the latest celebrity to be interviewed by Cathy Hughes’ in an all-new TV One on One interview set to air Sunday, Sept. 21st at 10pm. The 26-year-old singer, songwriter and record producer talks with Ms. Hughes about her childhood, her future aspirations, her faith and what inspires her music in the revealing interview, which repeats at 1 AM (all times ET). Raised in Oakland and adopted by her foster mother because of her mother’s drug addiction, Keyshia met prominent rappers like M.C. Hammer, Snoop Dogg and Tupac at a young age and credits the late rap star as one of her early influencers, saying that Tupac told her at 13 that she was “going to be huge.” She also credits Mary J. Blige as one of her greatest inspirations and says,…”if I could walk in her footsteps just a quarter of the mile that she has already walked, it would be a blessing fulfilled.”

Monique Lhuillier gowns, Zac Posen dresses, Cartier jewels, and Lorraine Schwartz diamonds. What could make any celeb-fashion event better? — Music! Condé Nast’s 5th Annual ‘Fashion Rocks’ concert took place last night @ NYC’s Radio City Music Hall. Celebeauties like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Solange, Mariah, Mary J, and much more performed, but the biggest attraction was, of course, the fashion.

Fab actress, Nia Long, attended the “Black And White” Gala for the Barack Obama campaign, Thursday, in Beverly Hills, California. Always one to impress, without over-doing, Nia stepped out in one of Fall’s hottest heels — the Pierre Hardy black velvet sandals with gold cube detailing [retailed at $995]! You have to see them up close! But, look at that sheen on her hair — amazing! I need some of whatever she’s using!

Singers Keyshia Cole, Mary J. Blige and Rihanna, were just a handful of Brown Sistas who converged on New Orleans over the weekend for the 2008 Essence Music Festival. The festival, which is now in it’s 14th year, is probably best known for it’s stellar line-up of musical acts, but the three day event also draws hordes of fans who show up for the dance workshops and panel discussions, which draw non musical celebrities like Bill Cosby and Dr. Cornell West. Music however is the force that binds this festival together and as in year’s past, well established and not so well established acts shared the same stage and received equal billing.

They don’t know when to keep their mouths shut. Rapper Young Jeezy is featured on the latest cover of Vibe Magazine and according to reports, goes into far greater detail about his relationship with Keyshia Cole, than I believe any mature man should have. When discussing the seriousness of his relationship with the singer, the rappers reportedly said “Keyshia asked me to marry her, bought me a ring and everything. She not gonna tell you different,”. “I was grown enough to tell her, Look baby, that isn’t what it is right now. I’m trying to get my shit together. I’m trying to get my money, take care of me and mine.” Now did we need to know all that? Of course not! But young Jeezy is just that- young. He is like a 15 year old getting his first piece of ass and running back telling all his friends so he can look like a big man. Female celebrities have to be especially weary of who they get involved with because just like that all your personal business can be out in the street.

R&B songbird, Keyshia Cole, was spotted @ Mr. Chow, making a glamorous entrance at the Interscope and A&M records “Creme of the Crop” BET Awards afterparty.
She looked super-cute, and summer-ready in this colorful number. I’m sort’a tired of seeing the whole high-waisted pants trend, but Keyshia def pulled off the look — rocking a tucked-in flowy yellow tube top, hot pink belt and mary-jane pumps, with a Louis Vuitton Monogram Multicolor ‘Speedy 30′ bag, [valued a $2,170]. And, she topped it all off with a bright blue eye shadow. I love it!
