Former Destiny’s Child singer LeToya Luckett has found quite a bit of success in the acting world since her last album, “Lady Love,” was released back in 2009. Since then the 34-year old Houston native has co-starred in several movies and most recently had her role of Felicia Price expanded since “Single Ladies” was dropped by VH1 and subsequently picked up by CentricTV.
Now comes word LeToya has landed her biggest role to date, the co-lead in the upcoming NBC drama pilot “Love Is a Four Letter Word.” LeToya will reportedly play one half of a married couple dealing with the difficulties of conceiving a second child. LeToya takes over the role vacated by actress Cynthia McWilliams and will play opposite “Arrow” star Colin Donnell. read more » » » »
In a recent interview to promote her new film “From the Rough,” Toya was asked what she thought on the recent online bullying Michelle has been subjected to, particularly the long-trending Twitter hash tag #PoorMichelle.
According to LeToya, she was unaware of the tag, but goes on to call it “gross,” and says she wishes people would think before they use social media to attack people in the public eye. read more » » » »
After a near four year hiatus, the “Single Ladies” actresses just unveiled her new single “Don’t Make Me Wait,” and guess what? You don’t have to wait to download it, because its available on iTunes right now.
Just as we reported a few weeks ago, the single appeared on last night’s episode of “Single Ladies” and is the first to be released from LeToya’s upcoming “Until Then” album, due out later this year. read more » » » »

Don’t hold your breath waiting to see LeToya Luckett on the upcoming season of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Houston.’ Over the weekend the internet was abuzz with news that LeToya and her ex-boo Slim Slug would be joining the show when it airs later this year.
This news came as a surprise to LeToya, who quickly took to Instagram to deny the rumor. “Hey LOVES!!!!! So Yeaaaaa NO! I am NOT on the new season of ‘Love & Hip Hop Houston,’ she wrote. “Not sure where that even came from, BUT u can catch me on season 3 of Single Ladies on VH1 #Felicia,” she continued.
LeToya will be playing a music executive, a role she described earlier this year as one she is “familiar and comfortable with.”
As for when she will officially return to the music scene, LeToya hinted at recording a song for an episode of ‘Single Ladies,’ but said her acting career has pretty much kept her out of the studio.
Quiet as kept, LeToya has been beefing up her acting resume since 2010 when she landed a co-starring role in the Ashton Kutcher flick ‘Killers.’ Shortly thereafter LeToya landed the lead role in ‘Preacher’s Kid,’ HBO’s ‘Treme’ and the short lived comedy ‘For Richer Or Poorer.’
I was reading the Sunday paper today when I saw a Walmart advertisement for Letoya Luckett’s new album, Lady Love. I have to be honest- I totally forgot about it. Radio has not been very supportive of Letoya this time around and reportedly, neither has Capital Records- the singer’s new label. Lady Love will hit record store shelves this Tuesday, August 25th. However, as many you already know, it leaked well over a month ago. Despite these many obstacles, Letoya is a fighter and is continuing on with the promotion of her album, with or without the support of her label. The singer gave her first live performance of her latest single, She Ain’t Got, on KTLA, a local Los Angeles television station. You can check out her performance by clicking the image below (You Tube).
Letoya Luckett may have just found her niche. The singer, whose new music doesn’t seem to be garnering the public’s attention anymore, is branching out into acting. The trailer for Letoya’s new movie, Preacher’s Kid, was recently released and Letoya seems to handle herself quite capably in front of the camera. Acting is all about believability and Toya seems to definitely have that down pat. Look for PK to hit movie theater screens across the country on October 30th.
The album cover for LeToya Luckett’s new “Lady Love” CD has been revealed. A fan sent me this image just a few moments ago and overall I think it’s pretty okay. Look for Toya’s sophomore album to hit record store shelves on August 25th.
When we saw supermodel Selita Ebanks rocking this Balmain number a few months back at the New York Premiere of Valentino’s Last Emperor, she knocked our socks off. Pairing her revealing LBD with simple Givenchy t-strap heels, Selita proved to us once again that she stands in her own lane. Singer LeToya Luckett arrived at last night’s 2009 BET Awards wearing the same Balmain dress with silver embellishments and zippers placed all around, paired with chunky metallic silver and black heels. The only difference with LeToya’s dress is that she modified the cleavage area to possess a bandage-like covering.
Letoya Luckett just performed her new single “Not Anymore” on BET’s pre-show. As many of you may have heard by now, there were rumors circulating online that Matthew Knowles, father and manager of Beyonce, threatened to pull his daughter from the line-up if Letoya was allowed to take the stage as well. Neither Beyonce nor her father responded to the rumor, but LeToya did in a radio interview a few weeks ago, stating only that she was “disappointed” if the rumor was true. Whatever the case, Toya gave a great performance (which I will upload when it becomes available) and hopefully one day BET will allow the singer to take to the big stage as well. Continue Reading →
+ Alicia Keys – Alicia is def one of my fave celeb fashionistas, as she always seems to pull off both casual looks and elegant ones. She looks lovely in this watercolor strapless Gucci gown.
+ Rachel Roy – The celebrity designer wore one of her own designs to a New York movie premiere earlier this week. She perfectly matched the mellow orange dress with nude heels, gold bangles, and her gorgeous sunkissed skin.
+ Kelly Rowland – The singer and television host performed at a live show in Paris, France wearing a belted coral pleat-front tunic top, white mini shorts, and silver and white Dior “fertility” heels.
+ Angela Simmons – Attending an event for she and her sister’s Pastry clothing line, Angela look fab in a black sequined mini dress, with exposed pink bra strap to match her black and pink peep-toe booties.
With the release of Letoya Luckett’s sophomore album just weeks away and no singles buzz to help promote sales, the singer’s record label is switching things up a bit. The Ne-Yo written single “Not Anymore” is now being called just an “introduction” to what Letoya has in store for her fans on her upcoming “Lady Love” CD and another single, “She Ain’t Got Sh*t On Me”, will now act as the official first single from the album. Dubbed the “Official Ladies Anthem of 2009”, the single was produced by Cory Bold and is due to impact radio in early June. Lady Love will be released on June 23rd and features writing and production credits from Missy Elliott, Tank and Floetry’s Marsha Ambrosius. Continue Reading →
Today was day 2 of the Minority Mentorship Symposium and it brought out former Destiny’s Child members Letoya Luckett and Latavia Roberson. As many of you know, Letoya has kept a pretty high profile since being booted from DC nearly a decade ago, opening up several boutiques throughout Texas and releasing (almost) two solo albums. Latavia on the other hand has been relatively quiet and makes few, if any, public appearances. The singer was last seen at Letoya’s birthday party last month but apparently didn’t speak to the press or give any details about a possible return to the business. Continue Reading →
