So you guys remember that sometime ago we discussed Adina Howard and her possible return to the music scene. Well it appears that time is upon us as Adina’s new album, Private Show, is due to hit record store shelves this Tuesday, June 26th. The album boasts production from Black Eye Peas producer Poli Paul and to preview tracks you can check out Adina’s My Space Page . However, with songs like Tease and Phone Sex, I think it is safe to assume that the new Adina is as much a freak as the old one- an observation which I’m sure pleases her die-hard fans.

As another week comes to a close here on Brown Sista, we once again present to you this week’s batch of random images. We will start things off with Bey and Jay who have been having a very PDA week. All these public displays of affection have apparently caught people off guard as folks are acting shocked to see two people who have been dating for five years hug and kiss each other. News Flash: After five years, I think it’s safe to assume that they have done this before. There is no need to become alarmed or call in the National Guard.

Tameka Foster, better known to world as Usher’s fiancĂ©, sat down to talk to Essence Magazine about the innuendo, speculation and out right un truths that are often printed about her and her relationship with the much younger singer. Tameka pulls no punches and answers questions openly about her former husband, where her children are and if she really was the cause of Usher firing his mother as his manager. In the July issue of Vibe, the editors got together and compiled what they called Vibe’s Hit List: The 25 Sexiest Celebrities. Ordinarily I would have passed this right on by, but how could I ignore a list that put Benicio Del Toro at #10? Yes, I know. You are all wondering who the heck is Benicio and that is what makes this list, like most lists, utterly laughable, but still worth talking about. Some of the other names to make the list were Jennifer Hudson, Meagan Good and you all know who came in at #1- Beyonce. Check out the list on the next page and you can also check out random images I have posted from this month’s issue as well.

So as they do every year, Maxim magazine has released their list of the 100 hottest women in Hollywood. Of this 100 exactly 6 of them are Black or at least part Black. Ciara came in at #72 followed by Gabrielle Union at #67, Jessica White at #60, Halle Berry at #55, Beyonce at #13 and Rihanna made the top ten by coming in at #8. Now because only 6 of the women were of color, some people have started to complain. We here at Brown Sista however aren’t the least bit concerned with the lack of color on this list because hey- look at the source. Plus, can you really take a magazine seriously that thinks Lindsay Lohan is prettier than any of the above women, or even Jessica Alba who came in at #2 ?

The Black Grammys are here everybody and to no one’s surprise Beyonce leads the list with six nominations, including nods for top female R&B artist, video for “Irreplaceable” and duets with Jay-Z on “Deja Vu” and “Upgrade U.” Ciara and Jennifer Hudson are also nominated for three awards. Diana Ross will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Don Cheadle will be given the Humanitarian Award for his efforts to end genocide in Darfur. Monique is slated the host the show and T.I and 50 Cent have been confirmed as performers. The BET Awards hand out statuettes in music, television, film and sports and last year had an audience of six million people, the most ever in it’s history and officially topped the MTV Awards as the most watched music and video cable awards show.
