Record executive LA Reid held his annual Summer of Love Bash in the Hamptons over the weekend and singers Mary J. Blige and Ciara were just a few of the Brown Sistas who made an appearance. Ciara, pictured to your right with rapper LL Cool J, showed up looking slightly better than she did in her last public outing. As I expected, the Crunk n’ B diva is now battling allegations that she is suffering from an eating disorder. Ciara has become increasingly more fit over the last year but her drastic weight loss after announcing her intentions of seeking a career in modeling, has many thinking she has gone overboard in her quest to attain the perfect model-like physique.

Ahhh, now where have I seen this before? What is it about Disneyland that draws celebrity love birds? Singer Mariah Carey and her new hubby Nick Cannon were spotted yesterday hanging out with the world’s most beloved mouse; however, a few years ago another celebrity duo also hung out with the cute and furry one. Can anyone guess who they were? The female in this duo has shared a record label with Mariah in the past and is said to be a good friend of the singer’s. Rihanna has stated that she is about 5′8″. If you’re tall, with long legs like Rihanna’s, then show off those long, lean legs this summer! These barely-there bottoms are perfect — spanned with links of diamante chain to add more jazz to your look. (I think the skulls and studded jewelry are very “Rihanna”).

J. Hud is a perfect example of today’s ‘curvy brown sista’. She always plays up her curves in sexy, memorable, yet sophisticated looks. A tankini and boyshorts with drawstrings on the side, like this set, is a great match, because the rouching at the belly creates for a subtle camouflage, and the bottoms are adjustable, so you can take them from swim bottoms to boyshorts. Add black and gold accessories to top off this suit.

Unlike Beyonce and Jay Z, newlyweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have no plans to play cat and mouse games with the media. Just days after getting married in the Bahamas, the couple made their first public appearance together at Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People In The World party- held last night in New York City. Mariah did double duty as not only an honoree, but also as the night’s entertainment. Here she is pictured above looking happy with her new hubby and Time Warner CEO Richard Parsons.

Mariah Carey just married a man she says she has known for all of six weeks. Who thinks the marriage will last? Granted, none of us know Mariah or Nick personally, but we are all adults and have a bit of life experience under our belts, that in my opinion makes most of us more than capable of giving an unbiased answer to this question.

The fragrance wars are in full swing and super diva Mariah Carey has added her name to the growling list of celebrities who are pitching their own signature scents. We have Beyonce and her Diamonds, Diddy and his Unforgivable Woman, Usher for Women, and now we have “M” by Mariah Carey. So far we have seen print and commercial ads from Bey, Usher and Diddy, and now finally, Mariah has stepped on the scene to unveil her new commercial, and in my humble opinion, her ad really sells her perfume- and sells it well. “M” by Mariah had it’s world premiere last night on MTV but just in case you missed it, you can click over to next page to see Mariah totally school Diddy on the proper way to sell perfume to women- and maybe even men.

Not literally you perverts (lol). For those of you who are lovers of 80’s music, you probably realize I am talking about the song Janet recorded back in 1987 with Lisa Keith. The song actually appeared on Herb Alpert’s album and was a monster hit on R n’ B radio, even though I don’t believe it was ever released as a single. Well some 20 years later Janet and Mariah Carey forums are running rampant with rumors of Janet re-recording this song with Mariah. If the rumors are true, this is obviously the brainchild of Jermaine Dupri who has been trying to get the two divas in the studio together for some time now.

As you all know, female celebrities are coming out with their own fragrances at such a rapid pace that it is almost impossible to keep up with all the new scents. Beyonce is lending her name to Emporio Armani’s Diamonds fragrance. While Jennifer Hudson is now the new face of Avon’s long running Amari perfume. Not to be left out, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stephani and even Mariah Carey have jumped on the bandwagon and are not just becoming the face of a product, but creating signature scents for themselves in the same way Cher, Elizabeth Taylor, and even Jennifer Lopez did.
