Brown Sista

The Russ Parr directed romantic comedy, Love For Sale, made it’s world premiere yesterday at the 12th Annual Black Film Festival. The movie stars Jackie Long (ATL) along with a host of beautiful brown sistas, including Angell Conwell, Essence Atkins, model Melyssa Ford and singer Mya. Both Melyssa and Mya will play Jackie’s love interest’s in the film. Melyssa plays the role of a financially well off older woman out to seduce Jackie’s pizza boy character and take him away from his childhood sweetheart (Mya).

Twin actresses Khadijah and Malika Haqq recently celebrated their 25th birthday at the Aqua Lounge in Hollywood, California. On hand to help them commemorate their big day were model Melyssa Ford and actresses Meagan Good, Jennifer Freeman, and Kyla Pratt. Khadijah and Malika are best known for their roles in the film ATL and will next appear as Dilcy and Delinda in the 2008 film, Like Moles, Like Rats. Read the rest of this entry »
