Brandy & Monica Together Again

It’s been 14 years since they last worked together, but finally 90’s R&B icons Brandy and Monica are back together again.

The duo return with “It All Belongs to Me,” a Rico Love written and produced track that will appear on both singer’s albums, just as their smash #1 single “The Boy Is Mine” did back in 1998.

Monica Unveils Album Cover

Well that was quick. Less than two days after announcing her ‘New Life’ album would be “restructured” and “delayed,” Monica has decided to unveil not only the project’s new release date, but its cover as well.

Blaming the album’s postponement on the shake-up at RCA and the closing down of her longtime label, J Records, Monica said she chose February 21, 2012 as the new release date so she and RCA could “rethink the album’s entire movement.”

Part of that movement will reportedly involve recording new singles, doing more promotion and putting together a full scale tour in support of the project.

Monica Delays Her “New Life”

In lieu of the lukewarm reception her singles ‘Until Its Gone’ and ‘Anything to Find You’ have gotten from radio, Monica and her label, RCA, have decided to delay the singer’s upcoming ‘New Life’ album in order to do what the R & B singer calls a bit of “restructuring.”

In a message posted via her Twitter account, Monica thanked her fans for their years of dedication and promised that the album would indeed be “coming out soon.”

News of the delay has led fans to speculate that the singer may also be pregnant. Monica has been looking a bit plump around the waist as of late but has neither confirmed nor denied the rumor.

Monica Shoots New Video

‘Soul Food’ actress Malinda Williams and ‘Stomp the Yard’ actor Brian White are set to make cameo appearances in the video for Monica’s upcoming single ‘Until it’s Gone.’

Monica wrapped up shooting on the Diane Martel directed clip over the weekend and shared images from the set via her Twitter page.

The video reportedly features a dramatic car cash and required some very intense acting on Monica’s part.

Look for the visuals to debut later this month, while Monica’s ‘New Life’ album is set to be released November 29th.
