Photographers clamored for a shot of Naomi Campbell on the red carpet Thursday night, a fitting opening to a retrospective of photos from her two-decade modeling career. The show, which features photos from top photographers such as Arthur Elgort and Steven Meisel, was organized by Art Photo Expo Miami. It is part of a larger exhibit called In Fashion Photo, which ends on Dec. 7. The show coincides with the international art fair Art Basel Miami Beach, running from Dec. 4-7. “I feel very honored and flattered,” Campbell said as she was bombarded by screams of photographers wanting her to pose.

Model Naomi Campbell is once again featured on the cover and inside the pages of i-D Magazine. This time the supermodel shares the cover with Italian fashion designer Stefano Pilati. Just before Naomi pleaded guilty back in June to assault, French fashion house Yves Saint Laurent issued a statement announcing that the supermodel would front its new autumn-winter 2008-2009 advertising campaign, which is being designed by Pilati.

Just days after pleading guilty to attacking two police officers at Britain’s Heathrow Airport, model Naomi Campbell was seen doing what she does best- strutting her stuff on the catwalk. Naomi, who was the only female model used, took to the runway yesterday at the Dolce & Gabana menswear show wearing a black bra and boxer shorts, accompanied by a black and white Japanese print bath robe. Women have long enjoyed the comforts of their men’s boxers and now it seems D&G are actually targeting both men and women with their designs.

Model Naomi Campbell was celebrating her 38th birthday in Cannes on Saturday night when things apparently took a turn for the worse. TMZ is reporting that Naomi dropped in uninvited to Diddy’s yacht party causing the pair to get into a a creaming match, leading Diddy to throw Naomi out, where she was then photographed by the paparazzi. The UK Mirror claims the tears had nothing to do with Diddy. “They were tears of joy! Naomi was so overcome with emotion from seeing her friends she burst into tears and ran out”. Whatever the case, these pics of Naomi “overcome with emotion” are pretty disturbing. The sista looks like she’s about to snap.

I adore Naomi Campbell. I can’t help it. I used to love watching this fashion show that aired on VH-1 back in the mid 90’s and it was then I became familiar with Naomi and a host of other Black models. I remember watching a documentary where Naomi went to France for an event to honor the late Gianni Versace and she was accompanied by another model. While lounging at their hotel pool this stranger came up to the other model and presented her with a gift he had just purchased from the hotel jewelry store. Naomi, being the diva she is/was, had a cow and demanded the man buy her a gift also, because according to her it was rude of him to give her friend a gift and give her nothing at all. Naomi actually took this man by the arm and marched him back to the jewelry store and made him buy her the gift of her choice- a small diamond pendant.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has vowed to return to Brazil as a blood donor, after she was unable to give blood to support the fight against disease. The temperamental diva traveled to the South American country on Monday planning to donate blood and raise awareness of dengue, a mosquito-borne disease that has infected 55,000 people in Brazil and killed 67. But Campbell’s offer of giving blood was turned down because of surgery she had in the Brazilian city of Sao Paolo in February to have a cyst removed. She told reporters, “Unfortunately I cannot give my blood to Rio … but I will be back, for sure.”
