Former Destiny’s Child singer LeToya Luckett has found quite a bit of success in the acting world since her last album, “Lady Love,” was released back in 2009. Since then the 34-year old Houston native has co-starred in several movies and most recently had her role of Felicia Price expanded since “Single Ladies” was dropped by VH1 and subsequently picked up by CentricTV.
Now comes word LeToya has landed her biggest role to date, the co-lead in the upcoming NBC drama pilot “Love Is a Four Letter Word.” LeToya will reportedly play one half of a married couple dealing with the difficulties of conceiving a second child. Despite her first foray as a lead on a network series ending in cancelation, Meagan’s services have continued to be in high demand, leading to several network bidding wars. Former “True Blood” star Rutina Wesley is joining season three of NBC’s psychological thriller “Hannibal,” taking on the role of Reba McClane, a blind woman who catches the eye of Francis Dolarhyde, better known as the Tooth Fairy, a serial killer who really likes to sink his teeth into his victims.
Reba’s romance with Dolarhyde is major component of the Thomas Harris novel “Red Dragon,” just one of the books in which “Hannibal” is based on, and is expected to be given the same significance during season three, notching a reported seven episode arc for both Wesley and Richard Armitrage, the actor hired to play the role of Dolarhyde. read more » » » »
