Trailer: Extended Preview of “Uncle Buck” Starring Nia Long

JAMES LESURE, SAYID SHAHIDI, AALYRAH CALDWELL, NIA LONG, IMAN BENSON, MIKE EPPSAs previously reported, ABC has given the greenlight to Uncle Buck, a new half-hour comedy based off the 1989 John Candy film of the same name.

The television version stars Nia Long, James Lesure, and comedian Mike Epps as the infamously bad babysitter, Uncle Buck.

ABC plans to air the show as part of a Tuesday night comedy block that includes upcoming shows The Real O’Neals and Not Tonight.

Preview Nia Long’s New ABC Comedy ‘Uncle Buck’


Nia Long’s new ABC pilot “Uncle Buck” has officially been picked up by the network and will begin airing this fall alongside other family friendly comedies “The Real O’Neals” and “Black-Ish.”

“Uncle Buck” is a remake of the 1989 John Candy film of the same name and co-stars James Lesure and comedian Mike Epps in the title role.

Nia Long Nabs Role in ‘Uncle Buck’ Remake


Nia Long is the latest Brown Sista to book a gig this pilot season. According to published reports, the 44-year old actress will join comedian Mike Epps in the ABC remake of the John Candy film “Uncle Buck.”

Nia was last seen in the short-lived WeTV drama “The Divide,” which was unfortunately cancelled after its initial eight episode run last summer. Since then Nia’s been mostly a free agent, with IMDB showing her only upcoming role as that of Jordan in the third iteration of “The Best Man” franchise.

Yaya DaCosta Lands New Role + Nia Long Loses One

While Yaya DaCosta is celebrating landing yet another coveted acting role, actress Nia Long is doing just the opposite, having learned her WEtv drama “The Divide” will not been renewed for a second season.

Yaya, who just wrapped up principle shooting on Lifetime’s Whitney Houston biopic, recently revealed via her Instagram page that she will be co-starring in the upcoming 1970’s gangster flick “The Nice Guys,” which stars Ryan Gosling (Only God Forgives, Drive) and Russell Crowe (Noah, Man of Steele).

Trailer: ‘The Divide’ with Nia Long


So, remember we told you Nia Long was set to star in WeTV’s upcoming legal drama “The Divide?” Well, the show now has an official air date of July23rd, and with it a preview of what we can expect to see from Nia’s character.

As previously reported, Nia will play a character named Billie Page, a powerhouse corporate attorney at a crossroads in both her personal and professional life.

Nia Long Returns to TV


Actress Nia Long is coming to WeTV. But unlike the channel’s other women of color, Nia will not be starring in a reality series, but rather a newly announced drama series.

Via press release, Nia will be starring in “The Divide,” an original drama set to make its debut in early 2014.

The original scripted series is the brainchild of Emmy/Oscar nominated writer Richard LaGravenese and Scandal star Tony Goldwyn.

Nia has been cast in the role of Billie Page, the hard charging wife of District Attorney Adam Paige, played by talented character actor Damon Gupton.

Trailer: Tyler Perry’s Single Mom’s Club


The first trailer for Tyler Perry’s dramedy “Single Mom’s Club” has finally been unveiled. The film stars Nia Long, Amy Smart, Eddie Cibrian, Terry Crews and “For Better or Worse” actress Cocoa Brown.

The film hits theaters March 14, 2014 and will reportedly be fronted by a campaign that will give away 10,000 free tickets to singles across the country.

Nia Long Covers Viva Magazine


The ever youthful looking Nia Long is covering the latest issue of Viva magazine.

Nia, who is doing promo for her new film ‘The Best Man Holiday,’ spoke about the film and why after almost fifteen years, the cast was more than willing to resurrect their characters.

“We always felt there was more to the story,” Nia said. “As it turns out, fans felt the same way. We all returned because we knew there was more to these characters that needed to be explored.”
