Sanaa Lathan is covering the latest edition of Kontrol magazine. The 43-year old actress is super hot right now, having scored a massive hit with her most recent film The Perfect Guy. Sanaa quickly followed up that success by landing two new roles, one in the Fox mini-series The Incident, and the other as the lead in the film adaptation of Omar Tyree’s book Flyy Girl.
Sanaa spoke to Kontrol about her continued success, and how she manages to stay working despite the lack of opportunities for black actresses in Hollywood. Sanaa Lathan recently took time out of her busy shooting schedule to show off her home to People magazine.
The 43-year old actress gave the publication a tour of her Hollywood Hills retreat, which she describes as a zen treehouse. “There is a huge California Oak right outside my window,” Sanaa told the magazine. “I’m positive it helps me sleep better. The energy from it is just so massive and powerful.”
Actress Sanaa Lathan will reunite with writer-director Gina Prince-Bythewood for a special Fox mini-series tentatively titled The Incident.
Sanaa will play a special prosecutor sent to a small town to investigate the shooting of a white teen by an African American police officer. The project is being written, directed and co-produced by Prince-Bythewood, who gave Sanaa her first big break when she cast her alongside Omar Epps in the film Love & Basketball (2000).

Sanaa Lathan can sing. Who knew? “The Perfect Guy” actress stunned fans late last night when she unveiled her first single, Emotional, via her Facebook page.
The track features rapper Def Loaf and will appear on the soundtrack to her latest film, which according to published reports, topped Friday’s night’s box office.
Sanaa collaborated with producer Details (Drunk in Love) and said via Instagram “Life can be amazing when you step outside your comfort zone sometimes and say yes. Who would have thought I’d have a single out. It tickles me pink.”
