‘Scandal’ to End After Season Seven
Get ready to say goodbye to Scandal, Gladiators. According to published reports, season seven of the hit ABC political drama will be its last. The show’s creator and showrunner, Shonda Rhimes, will reportedly make the announcement at the network’s Upfront presentation on May 16th.

With the 100th episode of Scandal set to air this Thursday, cast and crew were recently brought together by the Hollywood Reporter to discuss what it took to bring the controversial political drama to network television. It was of course no shock to hear ABC wanted the part of Olivia Pope to be played by a white woman, despite the character being inspired by real-life African American political fixer Judy Smith. What was a bit shocking, however, were some of the names being thrown about to play Olivia once the network agreed to the casting of a black woman.
Olivia and the team are determined to bring down Peus, but as the Electoral College vote nears, the fight for power claims another victim.
‘Scandal’ Returns with ‘Survival of the Fittest’
With season six of Scandal set to air January 26th, ABC has decided now is the time to start dropping a bit of promo for the highly-anticipated season opener, which finds Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) with her hands full dealing with the outcome of the presidential election between Mellie Grant and Francisco Vargas.

Rise and shine Scandal fans, your show is set to return in less than two weeks. Via ABC, the winter premiere will take place February 11th, and apparently a lot has happened since the fall finale.
