Tamar Braxton has officially filed for divorce after nine years of marriage to record producer Vincent Herbert. The singer’s rep released a statement earlier today confirming long-standing rumors of trouble in paradise, saying “At this time, we can confirm Ms. Braxton has made an extremely difficult decision and has filed for divorce. She appreciates everyone’s love and prayers and asks that her privacy be respected during this very difficult time.”

Singer Tamar Braxton has left Epic Records. According to Billboard, Tamar, 40, has signed a new deal with eOne Music to release her upcoming fifth solo album. Tamar’s previous three albums: Calling All Lovers, Winter Loversland and Love and War were all released in conjunction with Streamline Records, a boutique label distributed by Interscope and owned in part by Tamar’s husband Vincent Herbert.
