Spice Girl singer Melanie Brown is a married woman and has been for two months now according to Melanie’s own rep, Arnold Robinson. Melanie apparently wed her producer boyfriend, Stephen Belafonte, in a quickie Las Vegas ceremony held on June 6th and kept the nuptials quiet to- well she hasn’t said why she kept her marriage a secret and probably won’t any time soon as she has also cancelled her scheduled appearance on The Larry King Show, which was due to air tonight.

Ok, somebody obviously done told us wrong because Beyonce and Jay Z did not open the BET Awards as previously thought. Instead BET gave Jennifer Holiday the gift of a lifetime by allowing her to duet with J. Hudson on the Dreamgirls anthem, And I’m Telling You. I must say it was a big surprise to see Jennifer Holiday take the stage but it was a pleasant surprise nonetheless. I think both Jennifer’s did an excellent job, if not a bit much at the end. Sill, this year’s show is an upgrade from last year’s and keep getting better.
So what do you guys think so far… ?

I don’t think I have ever watched an Emmy telecast before and tonight was no exception.Something about handing out awards and watching people cry and gush all over the stage makes me sick.I do however love to see what folks are wearing and I know most of you do too.There weren’t many Brothas or Sistas at this years award show but those that did show up looked damn good.

Jermaine Dupri debuted Janet Jackson’s new single “So Excited” on his radio show tonight and I am so loving it.This song will return Janet to her dance roots for sure.Khia also does her thing on this track.I wasn’t too happy when I heard she was gonna be on it, but she actually makes the song for me.

BET held a press conference to discuss their summer shows airing in 2006 and Keyshai Cole was of course in attendance.Her reality show is due to air tonight on BET and there is already a huge amount of buzz surrounding it.The pics below are of Keyshia discussing her new venture with the media and looking quite beautiful in the process.

It seems Janet is everywhere these days and more images from her forthcoming video “Call On Me” have been released.The image below was captured from a clip on Entertainment Tonight and seems to continue the Arabic/East Indian look of the previous photo released from the shoot.The song also features Nelly and is directed by Hype Williams.
