Tamar Braxton Previews ‘Blind’ Video + Talks Retirement

New Music: ‘Blind’ by Tamar Braxton

With her Bluebird of Happiness album set to be released this Friday, September 29th, singer Tamar Braxton is stepping up the promo, releasing the new single Blind and previewing its video via her Instagram page. This is the third single from Bluebird to be unveiled for the public, and follows My Man and Pick Me Up, the latter of which Tamar released just over a week ago for fans who pre-ordered the album.

As previously reported, Tamar recently announced her retirement, telling fans Bluebird would be her “best and final album.” The Braxton Family Values star went on to explain her decision to Entertainment Tonight, revealing a need to put music aside in order to focus on salvaging her marriage to producer Vincent Herbert.

“There are a lot of things that I want to do, and a lot of things that are in the works,” Tamar told reporter Brice Sander. “Not only do me and my husband work together, he is my baby daddy and, you know, we’ve been together forever. He’s my best friend. It’s a lot of things to discuss and argue about.”

Tamar also admits the demands of recording, touring, and shooting various television shows has taken a toll on her home life. “This is my job,” she said of singing. “When I go home, that’s my home. I always want to keep my home a sanctuary and somewhere safe. Not just for me, but for my husband and my kid.”

Tamar won’t completely disappear from industry, however. She has a new talk show produced by Steve Harvey set to debut in 2018. She’s also scheduled to hit the road this November with fellow 90’s staples Monica and Xscape.
