Tamar Braxton to Get Her Own Talk Show Thanks to Steve Harvey
Singer Tamar Braxton is set to host her own talk show thanks to a new production deal she recently signed with Steve Harvey. Steve announced the deal earlier this week on his radio show when Tamar stopped by to discuss her abrupt exit from The Real. Tamar called the deal “An amazing opportunity,” on Instagram, telling fans: “God does not close a door without opening an window.”
As I’m sure most of you have heard by now, Tamar was surprisingly let go from The Real just over a week ago. The move apparently came as a shock to both Tamar and her co-hosts, who have all since spoken out on her behalf.
Tamar also tackled her firing on last night’s episode of Braxton Family Values. “I just don’t know what I did wrong,” a visibly upset Tamar tells her sister Toni. “I’m so humiliated. I don’t know what to do. I know everybody’s going to think it’s something I did.”
Tamar went on to say she felt particular despondent given the difficult year she’s had, citing poor record sales of her Calling All Lovers album and having to quit Dancing with the Stars due to injury.
As for Tamar’s new show with Steve, the Kings of Comedy comedian told fans: “We saw the opportunity of what people may recognize as the end, but it’s not. It’s such a beginning. She has such a bright future. She is such a star. She has so much to offer. She has a plethora of talent. We think she would make a great game show host, we think she would make a great talk show host, we think she’s in line to produce a number of series, and we are proud to announce that Tamar Braxton is already on her feet.”
