Basketball Wife Tami Roman Has SmartLipo

Reality show veteran Tami Roman had “Smart Lipo” on last week’s episode of “Basketball Wives.” The 39 year old mother of two says she has struggled with body image issues for years and despite eating right and exercising, cannot seem to get her body the way she wants it. For those of you who watched Tami when she was on the Real World nearly 20 years ago, you know that even back then she was taking drastic measures to lose weight. At the tender age of only 21 the 5 feet 9 former beauty queen had her mouth wired shut in order to curb her ability to eat solid foods.

Since allowing her lipo to be featured on “Basketball Wives,” Tami says she has been accused of having self esteem issues. She denies the claim however and insists that her desire for lipo was motivated by her need for “extra help” to achieve her fitness goals.

  1. OMG!!! I hope they gave her those underwear and they weren’t hers! My god.

I aint saying nothing bad because a lot of us look like that under our clothes. It’s only the people in the Magazines who “look” perfect but none of us are. I applaud her for not being afraid to show her body.

  2. Wow. I would have never thought she looked like that under her clothes. I remember when she was on The Real World and she was obsessed with wanting the perfect body and a big butt. I applaud her too. None of us are perfect.

  3. It’s amazing how lazy some women are, she could simply put some time in the gym as oppose to going under the knife. You’d rather have sugery over exercising…sad.

  4. The highest amount of fat that can be suctioned safely during lipoplasty is around six and eight pounds. With more fat being removed, the risk of complications increases. If a patient is in need of more than six to eight pounds being removed, it is encouraged to spread the surgeries out over a few months.

  5. I had no idea Tammy’s butt was so flat. But then I remember her talking about wearing butt pads when she was on The Real World. She needs a lot of work from the back.
