Taraji P. Henson to Voice ‘Simpsons’ Character

Taraji P. Henson to Appear on ‘The Simpsons’

Actress Taraji P. Henson is set to lend her voice to an upcoming episode of The Simpsons. The one hour special titled The Great Phatsby, will revolve around Mr. Burns as he tries to relive his glory days as a performer. Taraji will voice the character of Praline, the ex-wife of a bigtime music mogul who once double-crossed Burns.

In addition to her work on The Simpsons Taraji, like Terrence Howard, will also be making an appearance on the Empire spin-off Star. The show lost 27% of its audience since debuting last month, and apparently Fox thinks a little bit of Cookie is just what the show needs to get more Empire fans to tune in.

Taraji can also be seen in the independent film Hidden Figures, which is playing in select cities across the country. The Great Phatsby episode will air January 15th on Fox, while Taraji’s appearance on Star has yet to be announced.
