Tempestt Bledsoe Gets Reality Series

Tempest Bledsoe and her longtime boyfriend, actor Darryl Bell, are coming to a reality series near you. The pair, who have been together for 16 years but have no children, met via their affiliation with Bill Cosby. Tempest, as you all remember, played Vanessa Huxtable on The Cosby Show; while Darryl Bell played Ron Johnson on the Cosby spinoff, A Different World.

The two will be appearing together on the Fox reality series “House Husbands of Hollywood”, which debuts on Monday, August 15th.

The two recently sat down with ET to discuss why they chose to do a reality series even though they don’t fit the show’s mold- married and with children.

Darryl Bell & Tempest Bledsoe

  1. I’ll give them a chance. I watched both of their shows faithfully.

  2. ……WHY?

Reality TV is going to KILL television. Thank God for HBO and Showtime 😉

  3. It’s an interesting show…. she acts like his mom tho but it seems to work for them lol.

  4. Ok, am I the only person who was shocked to find out that Vanessa Huxtable and Ron Johnson had hooked up?

  5. @ Stephanie

I was shocked when I first heard but that was a few months ago. It’s sunken in now! Anyway, I’m actually looking forward to watching this.

  6. @ Stephanie NO but w/e it’s Hollywood I shrugged it off and chalked it up to in that industry no one should be TOO surprised as to who hooks up.

  7. Who’d a knew?!?! I did not see this coming. As a fan of both Cosby Shows I sort of imagined he would date the girl who played Charlene.

In that interview, Tempest seems very into herself. She kept cutting Ron off and he seemed annoyed. She came across as angry and controlling when she was on Celebrity Fit club. Seems like they are just stuck with each other because someone better has not come along.

I think I will watch this show. Tempest and Ron are indeed an odd couple.

  8. Mistake….I though Ron would date Charnell who played Kim Reese

  9. LOL. I keep calling Darryl “Ron”. Ya’ll know what I mean.
