Tamala Jones stars along Cuba Gooding Jr. as Kim Hinton in “Daddy Day Camp” (Opens August 10)
This hilarious sequel to the smash hit “Daddy Day Care” finds dads Charlie Hinton and Phil Ryerson (Cuba Gooding Jr., Paul Rae) in another kid-harried adventure as they take over running a summer day camp. Armed with no knowledge of the great outdoors, a dilapidated facility, and a motley group of campers, it doesn’t take long before things get out of control. Up against threats of foreclosure and declining enrollment Charlie is forced to call on his estranged father, Col Buck Hinton (Richard Gant) to help bring the camp together and teach everyone about teamwork, perseverance and the power of forgiveness.
Nice piece. Black Film is one of my favorite websites. They were the first to post all those great clips from Dreamgirls. I enjoed Daddys Little Girls but few movies interest me as most are silly and made for kids.I mostly look forward now to the new stuff coming from Tyler Perry.
I loved Wanda Sykes in Monster and Law and I just caught her comedy special on HBO last month. I had no idea she was so funny. Everytime she called Jane Fonda’s character and old s-lut I nearly fell out
I love Naomie Harris. She is part of the reason I thought Pirates of the Caribbean 2 was so good! Tea Dalma was the shiznit! Blackened teeth and all. So glad they reprised her role.
JBL, I saw Wanda’s HBO special last month at my in-laws house and she had me, my husband and BOTH of his parents rolling on the floor laughing! :lol2: She is the funniest black woman in comedy period!
Kerry, Kerry, Kerry – you all know how much I adore this woman on the big screen.
I am still waiting for the world to wake up and recognize Taraji Henson’s acting skills! Seriously, in Hustle & Flow, Terrence wasn’t the only one who made that movie so good.
