The Ladies of Sparkle Cover Ebony Magazine

The Ladies of Sparkle, Jordin Sparks, Tika Sumpter and Carmen Ejogo, are all covering the latest edition of Ebony Magazine.

With their highly anticipated film set to open on August 17th, the ladies have been in constant promo mode, trying to get folks into the theater.

Filmed in under 30 days and for less than 17 million dollars, expectations are still quite high for the film which saw its biggest star, Whitney Houston, pass away earlier this year.

According to Box Office Mojo, analysts think the film could possibly pull a “Think Like a Man” move and snatch the #1 spot during a weekend in which “The Expendables” is the only other high profile film being released.

  1. Tike looks a mess. The weave is over the top and screams WANNABE. Why must the dark skin sista always get the short end of the stick. No effort at all was put forth to make her look even half way attractive.

  2. I haven’t read one review for this movie yet which bothers me. I did read on Shadow & Act that Mike Epps kind of steals the movie and plays a very serious character.

  3. I do not like the weave on Tika. It’s like she just put on a wig and left for the photo shoot. There is no style to the wig/weave at all.Tika is too cute for that. Carmen looks spectacular. Jordin looks good.I like the hair. They are all nice looking women I think maybe I’m just not liking the colors.

  4. I’m not overly anxious to see this movie, but it would be nice to see Whitney in a beautiful light again 🙂

  5. I think they look pretty. I like the colors. I heard the same thing that Mike Epps stole the show. I think he will be one to watch over the years.
