  1. How the heck are they gonna launch an event in 5 weeks? The only people they’re gonna be able to get to the event will be those with nothing on their fall calendars. Hmm..

  2. yea i hate to say it but this is like a bootleg naacp awards.

  3. maybe they can get real artist they can go the opposite direction of BET and have real r&b aritist on their. And not be a replica of MTV.

  4. This looks like a bootleg BET AWARDS circa 2009. Lawd…

  5. I agree the Soul train awards is a mess. Taraji looks fabolous, Rocsi looks like she doesn’t like Taraji from that pic and Terrance, Terrance terrance what is that on your head? Terrance from 106 looks the usual. Not good not bad, just looking.

  6. Terrence Howard !? Is he a Muslim?

  7. I must agree with everyone. I am not sure if it is the wisest move to bring back a awards show that went off the air, because of people not particiapting and canceling. I think perhaps that Soul Train has ran its course and maybe DC should just let it rest.

Although I am sure that we all appreciate the contributions that has given us “the audience” over these last decades. I have been a Soul Train watcher every since I was a little girl.

    Wow..
