Letoya’s “Luster” X-Mas Performance

R n’ B singer Letoya Luckett was in Chicago over the weekend to make an appearance at Luster Silk’s Christmas Party. The 29 year old former Destiny’s Child member is the spokesmodel for the company’s line of “Smooth Touch” relaxers and has been since she replaced fellow R n’ B diva Keyshia Cole back in 2009. Letoya was in the house to participate in Luster’s toy drive, as well as perform a few of her hit singles. Despite a crowd that seemed a bit rowdy, Letoya belted out several of her hits, including “Regret” and “Torn.”

Toya has been tweeting about working on new music and says fans can expect a new album from her in early 2011. So far Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, The Underdogs and Andre Merritt have all been confirmed as having produced tracks for the new project.

For those of you however who can’t wait until 2011 and want a taste of Letoya now, you can check out “She Likes,” a new track from Pleasure P that features Letoya.

  1. This girl is Very talented!

Loved her in that movie “Preacher’s Kid”, she was very good!

  2. Original Destinys Child would have been smoking had Matt Knowles giving all these girls a chance to shine equally. Well, he made his family rich. Thats all that matters for a good manager right Matt?

  3. I am a huge fan..of the best comeback!!! You go letoya!! I pray really hard that Latavia get her shot too. God is awesome!!

  4. You go girl. Darkchild goes all the way back to the original Destiny’s Child. Letoya may be underrated, but she has a really good sound. I love that all of these women are putting their talents to work. A few weeks ago I saw Latavia on an episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta saying she wanted to do a one woman show. Beyonce is definitely my favorite, but I think they all deserve to shine. They all earned it.

  5. I totally agree Ms. Lisa LeToya may be underrated but all the members from destiny’s child have great talent and it is good that they are finding heir own place. I wish LeToya the best and i loved her in the Preacher’s Kid as well.
