Despite claims to the contrary, new video footage shot from inside Mary J. Blige’s album release party, clearly shows the singer striking, or attempting to strike her husband. At around the 1:07 mark you see the altercation happen and even though a partygoer is in the way- body language and the fact that both parties, mainly Mary, had to be restrained and pulled away, says a lot.

well by the looks of the footage It does not look like It’s all what It’s cracked up to be….but by all means men don’t hit your women and women don’t hit your men…PERIOD
We really don’t know what was going on. But I believe that some couples have faced this before but then make up the next day, it is a part of relationship when both don’t agree the same way.

Personally, I didn’t see Mary hit her husband in the video * shrugs*. What I DID see was Mary seeming to be in a disagreement w/ Kendu, but another guy step in to take ova the argument & Kendu has a smirk on his face. I didn’t see any motion of where her arm could have possibly went up, even tho her body language did show she was upset. Just b/c ppl argue doesn’t mean they end up hitting. Not to mention there are conflicting stories about the event. Until I see the video showing a direct hit or pictures ( a ala Rhianna) can’t say she did or didn’t, but really it’s lookin a lil bit like she didn’t.
I can’t really see her hit him on the video. But Mary being a woman who claims to have been in a abusive relationship before, she should know better. No matter who hits who it’s not right!
Sometimes people react off of reflexes. If she had of hit him and he hit her back we would have sworn he was a woman beater and he should be put under the grave!
My daughter hit me in the head with a toy before and I had to catch myself from knocking her out.

Most people wear sunglasses as a fashion statement.
Others wear sunglasses just to block the sun.
I have been seeing a lot of people wearing glasses that look like Rx glasses but they are not. Esp. Cartier frames. It’s all in the name of fashion.
It looks like an argument to me, a serious one at that. I believe her story about her husband and brother getting into it and they fought and that’s where the blood came from and she was angry he put him out of HER party. It’s not easy for family members and friends to deal with a new person stepping in and being your manager too, having too much control for some taste I’m sure and Mary in the middle. They’re human beings, first and foremost. This is the price celebrities pay for stardom, their privacy, arguments happen sometimes in public, even tho, they shouldn’t. Because while people feel disgusted, it’s not the undisputed truth! There shouldn’t be double standards for hitting and people shouldn’t be misrepresented or lied on either.
She’s been on a terrific career high, thank God Charlie Sheen eclipsed her news cycle in mainstream media, where it will cause the most damage. They’ll be better prepared in the future…they’ll be able to turn the page, other people’s money is at stake, her label, product companies she endorses, concert promoters…just like Alicia Keys…this will die down because it also points to Elin and her alleged Tiger beatdown.

I don’t want to condone violence, yet we do not know the intricacies of their relationship. There may be some underlying issues there. Certainly, she should have just walked away and not hit him.
