I like the song. I don’t like the video, I’ve had just about enough of alley-walking in style and sitting in a club. I don’t know why people don’t think this song can’t make it. Alicia Keys has shown you don’t have to get down to the pop and shaking just to sell and be popular. I for one like Jennifer, and the woman has a big voice. Call it screaming if you please, people say the same thing about some other greats. People have said Whitney screams. People say Mariah screams and Christina screams, I’ve even seen Celine be called a screamer. But those ’screams’ are singing, and I think people say that because it’s so much more than what most artist are doing and are able to do right now.
Whatever. Love me some Jennifer. She is doing well for herself which is more than I can say for alot of other watered down celebs. She’s humble and has a head on her shoulders. This video is really cute and I like her new look.

I defenitely like the song , because I feel it showcases her vocal ablility and the feeling of nostalgia that r/b seem to lack these days. I think that the industry is very over saturated with artist that follow the trend , music is suppose to different and jennifer brings to an industry that lacks diversity.
I love this song. It sounds like a song that a grown woman would sing about. She looks great in this video. I don’t really watch videos anymore, but, she looked nice. I think that maybe the record companies might realize that people over 35 will buy cd’s if it’s something worth listening too. And, we, don’t want to hear about clothes and money all the time. This song is great.

Some of us would like to hear real music for a change and if anyone knows anything about the great R&B singers in this country, the church was the starting ground for many of them. I’d rather have someone who really can sing rather than one who is technically created in a studio and can not even sing or even lip synch. Do some research on music history you’ll learn a lot.

Tip I second that motion. That`s the problem with some of our ol` skool artists today. They fall into the trap of trying to appease the younger generation and end up losing on both ends. Their fanbase of their generation can no longer connect with them and the younger generation won`t appreciate them anyway. They cease to remain true to themselves and so therefore their music ends up sounding like or being a joke. Let me give you an analogy if I may.
Once I reach my 30`s and 40`s I can`t /shouldn`t be still talking as if I`m still in my teens. I would look RIDICULOUS in doing so. I think J. Hud is a beautiful woman with a voice to match. If her record company takes the time to work with her and market her properly she can develop a fanbase that will keep her relevant. She has the voice so that`s already a leg up. There are many artists but very few TRUE singers. Most artists of today can`t even spell range when it comes to vocals……
I like the song, but as you can tell the video was low budget. The record companies are just not going to spend a lot on videos when it comes to new artists. Hell sometimes they won`t even spend when it comes to establish artists. I`m rooting for Jennifer and I hope she can find her place.
Now to change lanes for just a second. As I said earlier I think Jennifer is a beautiful woman and I find her to be sexy. However, I`ve noticed the comments from the sistas when it comes to her wardrobe and most of the time they are unflattering to put it mildly. As a male I`m not into critiquing fashion, nor do I profess to be an expert on the subject. It just seems to me she is attacked unmercifully most of the time for her wardrobe decisions. I`ve always noticed that sistas, especially, size each other up when it comes to the subject and you show no mercy.
Then sometimes some go as far as making cruel comments without hesitation. Some say she needs a stylist to work with her, well perhaps. But to rip her unmercifully in every post of her to me speaks volumes. Again, I find her very attractive. True, I`m viewing her as a male so therefore I will have a different perspective. My point is I just don`t understand such vile comments directed her way endlessly when it comes to her fashion. Personally I would date her if, of course, I was at her status. Once again I`ll admit this is from a male perspective..

I have always loved Jennifer Hudson and will continue to support her. I did not like the video much, but I love her singing. And I really love her acting.
Love Jhud. She really inspires me and i think she is a beautiful and talented actress and singer.
I love the start of the song and the chorus but somehow i lost interest in between, i feel there is something missing in the song.
I really want her to blow up but im afraid i can’t really see it happening at least not with this song, music has certainly changed but not for the better, may be it’s time for mature music to be back in the limelight again.

This song is the ish and the video is great. I am so glad she is singing tunes that are easy to listen to and groove to. Great beat, amazing voice and I’m loving the visuals in that video! That dude is sooo sexy.

When I first heard the song played on the radio I wasn’t too impressed, because I didn’t like the ending, but after hearing it more and more it growed on me. I like the video and I think she looks absolutely great and her new look works for her. I’m middle age so I enjoy listening to songs of that nature and I agree with another comment that stated they hope Jennifer brings back a lot of old school in her album, because she will not only catch the attention of youngsters, but will also appeal to a little older generation as well.
For the grown and sexy. ,,Kids are into Ciara,Lil Momma etc….she is older so she act like a kid.

Well I think that the song is cute, however there are really no feelings towards the video. I don’t think it’s bad nor good. I think that over time I have become numb to the majority of music videos. But @ least her stylist has stepped it up a notch… that makes me happy. As for the strength of Jen’s music career, I really don’t know how she will do. Over the years music has been so watered down & ppl w/ great voices get no shine. This is why we no longer have the Miki Howards & Vestas. Ppl have forgotten what REAL singing is all about & being that I think Jen falls in that category makes me really wonder if she will have great success w/ her music. But back to the video, I did want to point out 1 thing… I know that we are all tired of the club scene videos, but w/ the type of song she is singing about I think it fits. She is saying that she doesn’t want to be imprisoned by her man’s watchful eye. Most of us think about that in the way of let’s have fun & partying.. I really think that if she would have went shopping it would have been completly boring. As for A. Keys not having club scenes, think 2wice she just went old school & had house parties in her videos. I think that she is a beautiful plus size woman and she wears appropriate clothes. I couldn’t understand why everyone came down on her for the BET Awards because she looked really nice.
