A member of Minaj’s inner circle recently revealed the news, saying “Miss Minaj has been offered a number of opportunities to brand herself and chose a deal that best meshed with her goals as a global artist.”
Mark Cheatham, a musical agent at Creative Artists Agency, gave a bit more detail to the Associated Press. “We are working with Nicki’s team and are in discussion for a fragrance deal. We are also talking to different apparel companies as well. We are expecting to make this a mainstream brand.
Since bursting onto the musical landscape with her platinum debut “Pink Friday,” Minaj has become known for her eclectic fashion sense and has become a muse for designers like Betsey Johnson.
Minaj recently released her own line of OPI nail lacquers and is one of Viva Glam’s newest spokesperson.
