This weekend Beverly Bond founder of Black Girls Rock hosted the fourth annual Black Girls Rock Awards in NYC. Fab brownsistas such as Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah, Tracee Ellis Ross and Naomi Campbell came out to celebrate. This award show recognizes and celebrates the achievements of African- American women in fashion, media, business, and arts and entertainment. Actress Raven Symone was awarded the “Young, Gifted, and Black” award. Mary J. Blige was honored with the “Icon” award. While supermodel Naomi Campbell received the “Fashionista” award. Congratulations to all the brownsistas.
