Singers Kelly Rowland and Ciara “Super C” Harris, both ventured overseas this weekend to give performances. Miss Kelly performed at the “Love Music Hate Racism” Festival in Stoke on Trent, England; while Ciara took her stage show all the way to Japan to perform at their 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. First up however is Kelly who performed a medley of her own hits as well as a few from her years with Destiny’s Child. Decked out in a white sequined off the shoulder top and skin tight blue jeans- Kelly gave an amazing performance to a crowd that was more than enthusiastic during her performance.

I am really glad to see Kelly keeping up the good work with her career. I am happy that she is not letting anything stop her from sucess. I wish her the best. I like both of their outfits as it looks very comfortable.

Kelly’s performance is one of those where the artist just cant do anything with the song so they have the audience to sing most of it. LOL! She needs to get it together better than this if she is planning to chart a successful course separate from the tuteledge of Papa Knowles. Oh wait, she wasn’t getting anywhere with him either. :lol2:

You said it, and you said it right. But from childhood Beyonce has been trained to lead and be a megastar, and sing the entire song. Kelly has been trained to sing only the harmonies, she has been a backup singer forever nothing has changed. Think about all the major groups in history. The lead singer is the successful, and the other guys just can’t get a break. I think Kelly just needs to work harder.

I said Ciara needs to tone it down because she has just been trying too hard. It’s like she dances as hard as she can and shakes her a55 as much as she can to cover for her mediocre vocal performances. And the outfit is just terrible. Ciara has a great body and she usually looks good in those types of outfits, but that one is just unflattering, and it looks tired. Me and everyone else loved Never Ever and we hated all of her over the top antics, the charts can vouch for that. If she calms down she could get back on top. Ciara was just right for the 1st two CDs, but that’s because she stayed true to herself. She needs to stay in her lane and try to make it to the top the right way.
I liked Ciara’s outfit. The gray scale color and shiny look was cute to me. However, I never been in to shoulder pads and think her outfit would have been 100% perfect minus them. Ciara is growing up, trying to find her woman-self. She probably will never go back to the goodies days anymore, because that is not who she is. As a person grows older they chnage. It is only natural. The thing is changing in the right way. As a woman Ciara decides that, but as an artist her fans decide that. She just have to find the balancemiddle between pleasing her fans that like her now and pleasing her fans that liked her when…
Kelly is beautiful. I am glad she is out doing her thing. Leaving Matthew was the best thing she could have done for her self.

Ciara looks desperate and needy. I think Kelly Rowland is very classy. It is obvious that the wardrobe that she wore in DC was definately not her idea. Because she is a very conservative and classy lady who always dress and carries herself like a lady. There are just some people who won’t like her and I think she has pretty much accepted that and has decided to do her thing and whomever likes will enjoy and who ever does not peace to them. That is the sign of a grown lady who has come into her own and does not worry about what people say about her.

Hopefully, she learns from all the experiments she is taking with her image, song choices, and photo shoots. I understand what you mean about her trying to grow and find herself, but it’s so funny that her last CD sounds more mature than this one. I mean are these songs that didn’t make the cut for Goodies. Now I liked goodies and all, but if she’s trying to grow, she shouldn’t back track. I understand the game itself is about competition, but shes competing the wrong way. She should be like her and no one else. Like Keyshia Cole, her first CD almost flopped, but she stayed Keyshia and look at her now. The type of music Ciara was doing before was working so she should’ve build from that. Look at Rihanna, what she did for her first CD didn’t work so she changed and it worked.

Kelly has come a long way and I laugh at these people who down her when she is doing her own thing. For those who says she does not have IT, I want to know how you define “IT”. By exploiting yourself like some hooker? Surely you don’t mean talent. Kelly could always sing, but her confidence was not always there. The more solo performances she does, the better it will become. I have never heard Kelly say she was trying to be an “icon” or make a fool out of herself. You go Kelly, do you.
