Not every great performance was held at the Superbowl this year. While Americans were obsessing over football and who would perform at the pre-game show and halftime show, singers Kelly Rowland and Mary J. Blige, were over in the UK performing in support of their new singles, which are doing very well on the British charts. First up is Kelly, whose single “Work” is getting major airtime. She along with Mary performed at BBC2’s Music Show “Sound”.
Next up is Mary who can do no wrong anywhere. Mary is just as loved and supported in the UK as she is here. Mary’s new CD “Growing Pains” has already sold over a million half copies since it’s December release and much like Alicia Keys‘ new CD, shows no signs of slowing down.
Rihanna was also outta the country over the weekend doing her thing. She performed at z100’s Party Plane event which went down at Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
Kelly, please, don’t wear those pants again. I actually thought she was Michelle at first, but good to hear that business is doing better for her in the UK. Mary and those sunglasses are rockin’ it once again. I loved her performance at Pepsi Smash. I’ve loved Maroon 5 since their big debut and I was so excited when she came out and performed with them. Loved that, now I want the remix. Rihanna looks like she’s doing her thing onstage, too! Nice outfit. The background dancer looks so excited and her pants don’t look like they’re the right size. Made me laugh. :lol:

yay did some research and kelly’s single is actually #4 (after 4 weeks) on the uk singles chart and #1 on the german rnb charts (after two weeks), she’s charting in poland, france, ireland and bulgaria as well and the single hasn’t even officially dropped!
