Wendy Williams vs. Omarosa Stallworth
Stephanie on July 22, 2008 at 3:17 am (2 months, 2 weeks ago)
Here is the video everyone has been talking about and some things you just have to see to believe. Honestly, how sad these two Black women had to tear each other down so viciously on live television. Both of these sistas are old enough to know how the game is played and should have known better. Rather than attack each other’s weaves they could have really put a positive spin on Black women like Omarosa, Wendy and even Michelle Obama who are often called Angry Black Women for simply speaking the truth about their lives and their experiences.
How sad Wendy gave the kid glove treatment to Kim Kardashian and yet came down so hard on her fellow sister. Search Brown Sista for more: Omarosa, Wendy Williams

You expected Wendy and Omarosa to have class?
iris said,
i saw this yesterday with my brother and we couldn’t figure out what wendy’d done to fire up omarosa she came out to the stage with both guns blazing. so wendy says lets start over and everything seems alright but omarosa was still making snide remarks. now i am not from new york and omarosa said in an aside that wendy makes nasty comments about her t.v. guests on her radio show. i don’t know it was wierd for me.
Lonnie said,
Calling Omarosa the personification of an angry black woman is probably what set her off. What exactly is an angry black woman and who invented that term? Oh yeah YT invented it to describe blacks who were too vocal about injustice in this country. Omarosa has always held her own while Wendy is just a chick who seeks to destroy peoples lives with her lies. Omarosa was right too, Wendy won’t talk that **** face to face like she do on the radio. Wendy almost looked scared while Omarosa looked so tall and elegant and confident.
Liyah said,
Omarosa was offended. I know a lot of people like Wendy but she really lacks class. and to think people go to her for advice just makes me nervous.
SnijanaFleur said,
And let the drama begin…
It’s not as bad as I expected, and I only listened to two of her radio interviews. One was with Michelle while the other was with kelly. She’s known to go over the board, so this is expected…for high ratings LOL.
SnijanaFleur said,
This episode got you talking…Didn’t it?
Stef said,
That’s exactly why I will not be watching.
Teri said,
Wendy got what she deserved. You can’t offend someone and expect them to bow down to you. I’m not a fan of Omarosa, but she did put Wendy in her place.

I never knew and don`t know who wendy williams was until i started watching the show a few days ago. I`d always heard about her, but i like to see for myself and not listen to what people have to say. But from what i`v seen so far and i hope she gets to read this. This young women lacks class and morals. OMG. I think she tries so hard. Just be youself young lady and every thing will fall in perspective. It seems she talks trash about everyone so she can make heslf look better. First of all everyone in life has and opinion. But what wendy williams fail to realize is that the world don`t revolve around her and NEVER will. She looks like a piece of trash in that old big blonde weave, her feet are fat and ugly, she has those flabby fat hanging around her arm which is disgusting for such a young person and he nose looks like a chimpanzee. I`m by no way HATEING. There`s ABSOLUTLY nothing to hate about, I`m just keeping it real just like she always does. I know a lot of people who`s her age don`t look as horrible as she does. OMG. It seems that she had a real hard life at a young age and she is An Angry Black Woman. It`s obvious to even a blind person. Poor Poor thing. You need some help wendy.Even the bride of Chucky looks better than you.

WOW. LMAO. I usually like to drop some knowledge on my posts, but I can’t this time. This interview was funny. Maybe after I stop laughing at both of these crazy women, I’ll start to be embarrassed by them. They both feed into the angry black woman stereotype. They look like two poodles fighting over a biscuit. Argh!
ni ni said,
okay so I missed it, does her show come on in Philly? and if so what network..
lady said,
I do not like either of them lol.
Jayla James said,
Honestly, I don’t even want to watch. Wendy has disgusted me for some time. You are right, why do we have to tear each other down to be known?? Liyah(nice name), you are right as well, Wendy lack class. She always have. That is why Oprah is a billionaire because in despite of who she interviews, she is classy about it!!
Talulazoeapple said,
I like Omarosa. She is opinionated and doesn’t back down easily. It’s only the media who make traits like that in black women negative. Everone knows how Wendy is. She is just gunning for ratings.
Don’t get it twisted. Omarosa is a smart cookie, brilliant business woman.

They are both pathetic.
RC said,
I agree, why must black people feel the need to tear each other down (self hate). When Omarosa appeared on the Chelsea Lately show it was the total opposite. Omarosa’s mother was in the audience, they pointed her out and Chelsea asked Omarosa if her mother was a ***** too because she look real mean and bitchy. That should have put Omarosa on the defensive, but no, she laughed it off and stated that she only hopes to be half the woman that her mother is. Why do we automatically feel we have to laugh, shuck and jive for the white man?
Get Togetha said,
This is sad, sad, sad. Two black women who have basically built their careers on negativity. And we shouldn’t expect anything less from these two. People teach you two things: what to do and what not to do. People might think it pays to live on the negative side of the tracks; but Karma always wins in the end.
Get Togetha said,
We tear each other down; cause that’s the way to make money. Crabs in a Basket; game proper.
Brown~Sugga said,
well, not all black ppl get along….why should wendy hold her tongue if she’s jus not feeling the girl as a person. why fake it. its not like she didnt try to be pleasant in the beginning. i love wendy!
Sho Ya Right said,
I’m with you on that Brown Sugga. I don’t think Wendy did anything wrong really (I’ll admit though the clip stopped prematurely, so I didn’t see the whole thing). Not everyone is going to agree with your lifestyle. If they comment on it (which typically happens on talk shows…lol), deal with it eloquently, especially if you’re on national TV. I think Amarosa was the one who handled the situation poorly. She also seems way too full of herself.

@Lonnie & RC:
I cosign 100%. Yeah the term “ANGRY” black man, “ANGRY black woman, comes from YT when someone of color dares to stand and speak about the injustice in this country. That`s why all the go along to get along negroes are high up on the list when it comes to joining the exclusive white clubs, party invitations, etc. If you know how to “BUCK” dance, scratch when you don`t itch, laugh when it ain`t funny, come with hat in hand, bow and bend and say “yessa massa” you`re a good negro and massa will pat you on the head and give you a biscuit.
Don`t be a black man who thinks for himself, i.e. Malcolm X, Huey Newton, Fred Hampton, Louis Farrakhan, etc. because you`re then “angry”; what a joke.
As for these two sistas it is a sad reality that resonates in our communities in general. We luv to tear each other down, starting with our freedom fighters, that`s what we dew. (as in mountain) What dew we say, today as a whole, concerning Minister Farrakhan? “He needs to get somewhere and sit down because I know “massa” luvs me regardless of what Farrakhan says”. That`s our thinking process and it`s that same ol` slave mentality.
Now getting back to these two they are only perpetuating what massa did to our people when he first brought us here, divide and conquer, and we still haven`t learned the game. We hate our own and we don`t support our own. Let me just give you a second grade analogy to illustrate my point.
On a hot summer day you`re going to purchase ice for your cooler as you prepare for a picnic or party. There`s a black owned store within 2 miles of your home and there`s a white owned store 6 miles from your home and they both sell ice. I dare to say 8 out of 10 of us will go the 4 extra miles to the white man`s store because for some reason we think his ice is colder… See the absurdity in that kind of thinking? Well that`s us, self-hate, divide and conquer..
MJ and the 80s forever

We just witnessed two women who are out spoken and don’t hold their tongues. Both were wrong, Wendy knew what she was doing by asking those questions, also Omarosa asked for it by naming her book that title. No matter how you may try to clean it up, she could have picked a different title for her book. Omarosa did call her out though.
I don’t think that there is going to be uplifting stories and interviews on this show. This show is going to be about getting ratings and have people talking. Which I guess has been accomplished (sp?)

I wish people would stop using the crabs in the bucket analogy because the way we use it is wrong. Crabs in a bucket are not trying too pull each other there down they are trying too lift one another up but because of their clause it gives the appearance of pulling each other down.
Everything we comment about for the most part with AA is negative. It is time we stop claiming all those negative sterotypes for ourselves and find different phrases too pull our self up.

A friend told me about this & I had to see it for myself lol… 1st off yes Wendy talks a lot of smack but imo she was calm & somewhat civil in her approach. However, it was Omarosa who started the whole thing. Omarosa threw out some pissy comments, WHO wouldn’t defend themselves in a situation like this, whether they are Black or not. The comment that Omarosa made about those nose job was completly unneccessary, of course Wendy was going to fire back.
Yeah we can all sit here on our high horses & say it was childish & blah blah blah… but the truth of the matter is that MOST of us would have resorted to retaliation in some form or fashion as well. But do you guys REALLY expect Omarosa to be this saint on the show & represent Black women? C’mon guys, she was the MAIN one who caused Kwame, the BLACK man, to lose a tv show that could have put him @ the helm of a lucrutative multi billin dollar company. And of course we ALL know how WW rolls, but this time I can’t really fault her… b/c I didn’t see her say anything nasty until the other one started. She asked & said what Tyra or anyone who have said in an interview. I am sorry but I have NEVER thought of Omarosa as a “model” for the Black female, she lost me with her coniving ways lonnnng time ago.

I don’t know what type of talk show Wendy is trying to have but…regardless of who started it I have never seen anyone on a serious talk show treat their guest that way. You may not agree with what your guest says of how they say it but there should be a better way to deal with it than the approach that was taken. Years ago Oprah had the KKK on her show and she let them say whatever they had to say and none of it was nice and then she said what she had to say very respectful and I think she had a break through on her show. When you carry the way Wendy and Omarosa did… nothing good comes of it unless she is trying to have a Jerry Springer type show.
prettylady818 said,
Did anybody really expect this to be a classy interview?? PLEASE! Even the audience was eating it up, just feeding right into the drama and egging the two of them on. I have to say that Wendy Williams and the producers had to see this coming when they booked Omarosa for the show. They were probably praying for this type of exchange to happen. It’s all about the ratings!!! For all we know, the two of them probably kissed and made up after the show. You have to respect both women for their grind, though, it can’t be easy to be an AA woman in the media. I think people are making a little much out of this.
mo'star said,
Team Omarosa. She should never back down to anyone White, Black, Male ,or Female. If that makes her ghetto ,low class, or angry in the eyes of insecure people, so what. Then, Wendy has the nerve to suggest to Omarosa to have work done to her face just because she asked her if she had a nose job. This is why ugly people get on my nerves. Yeah, I said it and I will not back down.
chocolate girl said,
I think the whole thing was staged for ratings.
If not then Omarosa started the whole thing. However I do take issue with the title and theme of her book “B–ch Switch.” She keeps talking about how she’s so classy. That book title is not classy.
And being on the cover of a book with “B” word in big letters doesn’t give a positive image of black women or Omarosa.
I agree with Wendy. She does perpetuate another stereotype of black women. But, I have issues with Wendy too.

The funniest part of this clip was when the show was going to commercial and everyone was standing up clapping, there were two black women who looked like they could have shot both Wendy and Omarosa. I think that says it all.
Pearlsrevealed said,
Haven’t read any of the comments. Only watched the video. It seems that Wendy was about to pay Omarosa a compliment for being assertvie by discussing the ABW issue but Omarosa interpreted this as a put down.
Though I don’t like Wendy, I thought she demonstrated a lot of self control. Wendy actually tried to steer the conversation in a positive direction.
Now if Omarosa is correct and Wendy does talk smack on her talk show after the fact, then I guess she gave Wendy something to talk about.

I ‘m a lady and i have been raised by one of the most educated woman to ever grace this earth but i know wendy i listened to her shows couple of time and i know for fact that she will always side with the whiter person or close to it
Honestly wendy had to overcome some things in her life and i know that at some point she had to yell kick and scream in order for people to listen to her so if anything she should have tried to understand where omarosa was coming from.. I mean everytime a black woman want to voice her opinion she is either jealous, a hater or angry. Why can’t we just be expressing ourselves?
she started with the angry black woman comment and jumped in with the “you’re not my type “i’m sorry but this is 2008 you do not slap someone and expect them to turn the right cheeks
and oma is right wendy don’t know nothing she put that wig on her head sit down and stay blond and push whatever she suffered on the back and smile as hard as she can to please the white man
ON radio she is the most ghetto uneducated female ever she called queen latifah “a dude” she called tameka raymond a “heifer’ and a ‘man.’, she dissed erykah badu, she said that late tupac (r.i.p) was raped in prison, whitney houston wanted to put her foot up wendy’s a..
I mean Come on!
I’m against violence but she is lucky it was Oma because I would have slapped wendy into 2012 and have her quote the color purple for 5 months straight
Dark sista Is team Omarosa said,

they are both so ridiculous in the moment that we have to go back to history and do a backround check and i stay for Omarosa!
Angel- A said,
and this is what wendy said after the show
“Williams told the AP she thought the unprovoked aggression was a publicity stunt and called Omarosa “a delusional, D-list, pathetic woman.”
So much for claiming not to talk **** behind people’s back
Teri said,
@Dark Sista Is team Omarosa, I totally co-sign! Why the comment about being an “angry black woman?” That comment really ticks me off since I feel stereotyped by that very comment as well. I’m educated and sometimes opinionated, but not rude. Still, whites don’t seem to want to respect my MBA, but they will fall over their feet with “blondy” with no degree. I’m not saying that a degree gives you common sense or entitlement, but when you’re black/smart/educated/talented/and half way decent looking, it is an issue with some. I’ve tried to understand her reasoning for offending her guest. I don’t know and I’m not a fan of either, but since everyone’s talking about this, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a part II or heaven help us - if Omarosa got her own show. Reality shows and drama take tv ratings sky high - I guess we’ll see.

y r we relating this to history??? all we witnessed was two ppl wit a disagreement….dat happens in life. wendy is no oprah….wendy is jus wendy. What we witness on the show is not something all of us havent witnessed it in real life or dealt with personally. Wendy is real and will keep it real.
Wendy will talk smake to and behind ur face. Look at her past radio interviews with Kelly Rowland, or Michelle Williams or even superhead, to name a few. Wendy is no herb, she’ll speak her mind right to your face. Omarosa knew who she was dealing with. Its not like Wendy’s producers didn’t discuss what their segment was going to be about anyway before the show. She jus wanted to continue expanding her 15 minutes of fame that’s why she continuing to insult Wendy.

I support almost all of my sisters and when i don’t i have a valid reason not to and Wendy williams have those smart and backhanded comments about almost everyone so if we have to call her out lets do it in general Today its amarosa Tomorow who will it be ?

I most definitely agree that instead of attacking each other they could have embrace one another. We have others degrading us enough they both should be ashamed of themselves. They have a chance to portray our race publicly; do it in positive light sistas. I bet the others were at home laughing at us once again - “These coons”. lol

That term angry black woman is stupid and anyone who uses it is just dumb and ignorant. Omarosa is not angry. She is a black woman that is confident, outspoken and educated and most people are intimidated by that. Omarose gave Wendy a taste of her own medicine. Remember, there is always someone out there bigger and badder than you (LOL).
I watch bridezilla and see how disrespectful, ignorant, loud and nasty those white brides are and I also see it in everyday life. But no one goes around saying oh she’s an angry white woman.
If you’re black you can’t do anything without someone blaming it on your skin color. So ignorant.
Gee said,
Well I certainly have found a new respect for Omarosa. I really didn’t like her until I saw her performance with Wendy. That ish was real between them and Omarosa boldly let Wendy have it! Omarosa is a very intelligent woman. And Omarosa quickly let Wendy Williams know from jump street that she can’t disrespect Omarosa. Lonnie hit the nail on the head with his comment. For the first time, Wendy looked weak and out done by meeting her match with Omarosa! That ain’t no lie! Go ahead, with yo’ bad self, Omarosa! I can’t stand Wendy Williams because she is a loud mouth heffa that thinks she has a command of the English language and anybody that goes up against her.

THE ARMS RETRACT, THEY DO NOT EXTEND INDICATIVE OF TRYING TO PULL THE OTHER CRABS NOT LIFT .LETS NOT JUST SAY ANYTHING TO MAKE A POINT. I AGREE, WE DO NEED TO UP LIFT EACHOTHER BUT IF WE DONT EXAMINE WHAT IT IS IN OUR PAST AS A PEOPLE ,THAT HAS CAUSED A SEPARATION STILL SEEN IN THIS GENERATION, WE WONT FIX THE PROBLEM. OUR PEOPLE HAVE BEEN THROWN IN A SNAKE PIT AND ATTACKED BY MILLIONS OF POISIONOUS SNAKES ,AND AMERICA HAS OFFERED US ONE CC OF ANTIVENUM TO COUNTERACT THE POISONING OF GENERATIONS. ONE CC WILL HARDLY DO IT. OPRAH, AND OUR ATHLETES BEING SUCCESFULL WONT DO IT. WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT ON A DEEPER LEVEL. THAT WILL HELP US PULL OURSELVES UP,AND EACHOTHER. THEN WE CAN REACH IN AFTER WE GET OUT AND SHOW EACHOTHER HOW TO DO THE SAME. EACH ONE TEACH ONE. has anyone noticed windy has tamed that mane a little? amarosa got to her.lol
so so amused said,
oh yeah ,wendy did make comments about miss amarosa after she left as was predicted by amarosa.wendy also looked bewildered and incapable of giving advice to her audience members during “ask wendy”.she was clearly taken for a ride she wasnt mentally or inelectually prepared for. be careful what you ask for .dont prpare someone for your attack, then get mad or act perplexed when they come “guns a blazen”. that ish was fuuuunnnny. still lol. the show is vrey “empty calorie”and lacks stimulation needed for the growth of young minds who tune in, esspecially those black minds that are impressionable and sponglike. but i guess thats a safe way to stay in tv.. start SERIOUSLY speaking on real issues, and social change, structure and developement and you may end up a has been. OUR “CELEBRTIES” NEED TO CHOOSE TO INSPIRE IN A POSSITIVE LIGHT INSTED OF THE NEGATIVE LIMELIGHT THAT HELPS FATTEN THEIR POCKETS,WHILE THEY UNWITTINGLY INFLUENCE THOSE WHO ADMIRE THEM TO DO WHAT ESSENTIALLY IS NOTHING

Omarosa needs to go on the radio show so that Wendy can get her back cuz they both need to be shut down!

I was really thrown off by this, because (and I do NOT like Wendy) she had not even done anything and Omarosa came out with an attitude. No matter what you ladies think, she’s making you look bad. Yes, she is educated and successful, yada yada, but her attitude sucks. She is the kind of chick that if she gets caught up in some Martha Stewart type ish, nobody will be on her side because PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE HER. Sorry to say it, but chicks like this are the reason more and more brothers are dating outside of their race. The attitude is too much, sorry.
