As I get older, I realize more and more how important it is to budget your finances, and save your pennies. Budgeting, I believe, is something everyone should do. It doesn’t mean being “cheap,” or that you’re broke. It helps to mold you into a [financially] secure person, as well as a smarter shopper. So these days, instead of me shoppin’ til I drop, I purchase a couple new items to add to my wardrobe every-so-often. And to be certain that my dollars “stretches,” I buy more versatile pieces. Ones that can be worn to different places like: the office and the movies, or out shopping and a lunch date.
Above, I’ve created a look, whose key piece is a long-sleeve white dress shirt. In area 1, it looks like just a plain dress shirt that you may first think to only wear to work, or some business-type function. But, if you follow each step — adding an eye-catching statement necklace, a cool fall jackets, skinny pants/jeans, and a pair of fall’s hottest leather boots — you’ll see that area 4′s look has taken this simple white shirt to a totally different level.
So, before you claim “I have nothing to wear!” and head to the mall, double-check your closet. With a little creativity and some inexpensive costume jewelry, the possibilities are endless!

Thanks for this post; great tips here.
I love the necklace. And thanks for the “boots” link, also.
great job making over a plain white shirt!
