The Beyonce Experience tour has been getting great reviews despite numerous reports that the concert halls are usually only half full. I remember hearing about Mariah Carey having the same problem with her last tour but am shocked to hear of Bey having such issues at this stage in her career. Performers such as Beyonce, Janet and Ciara tend to do very well on tour because they are known for their powerhouse performances which fans generally want to see live. Such is not the case with Beyonce which is why she is rumored to be extending her tour both here and overseas.

Beyonce’s B’Day Deluxe Edition has won Mexico’s coveted Oye! Award for Best International Album Of The Year. BW reports that the next leg of Beyonce’s tour will indeed take her into several Spanish speaking countries of which she has never toured before.
She was recently in Baltimore, MD about three weeks ago. The show didn’t sell out, but it was almost a full house. It was a mixed aged group but mostly a young crowd.
I suspect with people recording so many of the performances and putting them online, it may have fans feeling like they have seen it already. Another downer for Beyonce is that she hasn’t changed it up at all. When I see clips of her tour it is the same performances over and over again to the same song. If you have seen her perform Ring The Alarn once you have seen it all there is to it. She hasn’t switched it up a bit and I think that may be keeping away even her most die hard fans.
Im from albany new york and she suppose to came here to perform but she cancelled because the tickets did not sell good at all. I think people r just tired of her, everywhere we look there she is. She just need to take a break period.
My sister went to concert in ATL and she said it was a good show but it was not a packed house. She said that most people there expected more for some reason. She is okay but in the words of Mr BB King “the thrill is gone”

I didn’t go to her show when she came here. I’ll just wait for the DVD. I think maybe if she didn’t cover ‘as’ many cities then those she ‘did cover’ would be sold out. Maybe it’s ‘coz she’s spread herself all over that the venues aren’t packed to capacity.
Can anyone say how long her DIL tour ran in comparison with this one? I see she’s extended it for other countries to see her. Did DC ever tour like really long like this? What will this add up to be a six-month tour once it’s done? Is that the norm usually? I ask, because while she looks good in shots hither and thither, she kinda looks ‘tired’.
She is over extending herself and is developing over exposure. I think people are just getting tired of her. Her tour is not even in the ranks of the top 25 selling tours in the US. She really does need to take a two or three year break to give her fans a chance to miss her before her career suffers from overkill.
I think people are finally seeing what we mean when we say overexposure. Some one like her should be selling out everywhere, you guys are right, its too much. She should chill, no one is trying to bench her but here is the proof right here. We need a break from her altogether. And yes to the one who posted above, every time I see photos of her concerts she is wearing the same outfits and doing the same dances. It could also be that B’Day was not well received by Every one.

You guys got to remember that she has to recoup the losses both she and the record label took when B’Day didn’t become a runaway hit. That’s why artists go on tour: to make money. They get a pretty big cut from ticket and venue sales in comparison to the cut they get from each record sold, so in order to earn out on that recording contract, the music artist has to go on tour. If her tour has been plagued with poor attendance, it’s a given that she has to continue looping around the world to counteract the low sales.
I am just afraid that the poor child is going to have a melt down from over working herself and desperately trying to stay in the spotlight. There is talk that she may be heading back to the studio in December 2007 to release another album early next year. If I am not mistaken, when she was promoting Dreamgirls, she said that she wanted to put her music career on hold and concentrate on acting. That was when she thought Dreamgirls was going to make her a bona fide movie star. Hmmm, I guess the acting and getting serious movie scripts is just not working out.
She’s definitely on that treadmill going at 10.0. She needs to slow down or just get off the treadmill. People need to miss her. But I don’t think she understands this. When you become over exposed people start to resent you. A few years ago, people literraly wanted to hang JLO. I’m a JLO fan I didn’t understand this but looking back it was because of over exposure. That’s why she’s a lot more private about her personal life. She’s not on magazine covers that much, etc. Beyonce needs to take a page from JLo and sit down.

I am not really a fan, but I am concern about her mental and physical health. Most of the time I can’t stand her, but I would be crushed if anything bad happened to her. I just want her to take some time off to upgrade her game and actually write and/or co-write some really good songs. I really like all of DC’s CD’s, and when she really took the time on her first solo CD it was a really good music. Unfortuantely because of her narcissism she though her could write some crappy songs in two weeks and the masses were suppose to eat it up. The only hit on the B’Day CD was Irrespacable and we all know who wrote that one. My advice for her is to stop being so greedy and sit down and actually write some decent music and don’t lie next time about your contributions to the songs.
She needs to sit down for a year or five.
She is a bunch of hype! So far she has not sold out all her shows so even people of tired of her or she not that good to pay 100 dollars to go see her perform. People if you want to see her live go to you tube! :cool:
Beyonce LOVES the spotlight. I can’t see her taking a break. If she stayed out of the loop for a while maybe people wouldnt be so tired of her. She’s making crazy money, she is not trying to take a break till this industry breaks her down.

I think Beyonce should go Avant-Garde with her next album. Let it be a themed album, kinda like Maxwell’s “Embrya” or Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Californication” something like that, where each song ‘really’ pertains to the title.

Most artists lip sync during their live performances. I don’t think that’s a factor that would prevent someone from attending the performance of one of their favorite singers. If so, that’s kind of ridiculous especially if the artist is providing other entertainment like dancing.
Beyonce is a great entertainer and if this article about her tour is true, she’ll bounce back with the quickness :dance1: :dance2:

I love Ciara, but she would not be able to sell out a tour by herself. Let’s be honest. And she most definitely can not sing and dance at the same time. The BET awards was proof of that. The only thing Ciara has going for her is her dancing and great personality. If she couldn’t dance, where would that leave her? Exactly.
She is okay, however, Janet Jackson is one of the best performers of all time.
