LeToya Luckett’s ‘Back 2 Life’ First Week Sales
Black women continue to struggle on the charts in the wake of LeToya Luckett’s new album debuting at number ninety-one on the Billboard 200. Despite overwhelmingly positive reviews, the singer’s third solo album, Back 2 Life, only managed to sell about 4,000 copies in its first week. This is significantly less than the 32,000 copies her Lady Love album sold in 2009 and the 165,000 copies her debut album sold in 2006.

In addition to the release of her new album Back 2 Life, singer LeToya Luckett is also celebrating her first Vulkan magazine cover. The 36-year old former Rosewood star was recently lensed by photographer Cesar Balcazar, who first worked with the songstress during her two-season stint on the HBO drama Treme.

LeToya Luckett Lands Role in Biggie/Tupac Crime Drama
With her stint on Rosewood set to come to an end this season, actress/singer LeToya Luckett has already booked herself another gig. According to Variety, Toya will be appearing alongside fellow R&B singer Luke James in the upcoming USA series Unsolved: The Murders of Biggie and Tupac Shakur. The crime drama will reportedly chronicle the police investigation into the murders of the two rap stars as seen through the eyes of former LAPD detective Greg Kading (Josh Duhamel).
LeToya Luckett Returns to ‘Rosewood’
After a brief hiatus, singer Letoya Luckett returns to Rosewood tonight to reprise her role of Tawnya, the likable waitress and single mom who catches the eye of Dr. Beaumont Rosewood. Tonight’s episode, titled Clavicle Trauma & Closure, finds Tawnya behind bars after being arrested for murder. Only time will tell what this means for Tawnya and Rosie as a couple, but something tells me Rosilla fans will be more than happy to see the character get sidelined indefinitely.

After a near two-year hiatus, LeToya surprised fans just moments ago, posting an Apple Music link to her new single Back 2 Life. The track is the latest to be released from LeToya’s rumored third solo album, Until Then, which was originally scheduled to be released earlier this year. Previous Until Then tracks include 2014’s Don’t Make Me Wait and 2015’s I’m Ready.
Letoya Luckett Joins Rosewood Cast
Singer Letoya Luckett is set to appear on the upcoming second season of Fox’s hit medical drama Rosewood. The former Destiny’s Child member, who was also recently cast to play Dionne Warwick in her official biopic, has reportedly landed a multi-episodic arc, wherein she will play the role of Tawnya, the latest in a long line of love interests for Dr. Beaumont Rosewood (Morris Chestnut).
