Erykah Badu’s Hotline Bling Remix

ERYKAH BADU HOTLINE BLING REMIXWe hope you’re ready for another remix of Drake’s summer hit Hotline Bling, because singer Erykah Badu is the third artist to put her personal stamp on the popular tune.

Rapper Jadakiss released a remix of the song a few weeks ago titled Thotline Bling, which was quickly proceeded by singer Keyshia Cole and her more girl friendly version of the tune.

Erykah’s interpretation, however, takes things up a bit thanks to the addition of some hilarious lyrics and production help from her son Seven Benjamin.

Singer Janelle Monáe is finally ready to release the follow-up to her 2010 album ‘The ArchAndroid.’

The Grammy winning Cover Girl spokesmodel took to her Twitter page recently to announce the April 22nd release of her new single Q.U.E.E.N. which will feature fellow eclectic diva Erykah Badu.

The singer’s new album, ‘Electric Lady’ is due later this year and will reportedly feature production work from Rock icon Prince.

In the meantime, you can catch Janelle at a slew of summer concert festivals including the Essence Festival which will for the first time be streamed live online.

Erykah Badu’s New Movie Role

The trailer for Erykah Badu’s latest film ‘They Die by Dawn’ has just been released. Erykah stars as a bounty hunter out to capture four outlaws, each with a price on their head. This modern western co-stars Isaiah Washington, Rosario Dawson, Giancarlo Espisito and Jesse Williams.

Unfortunately, because this is a short film and not feature length, it will not be released in theatres and has no official release date.

Erykah Badu Does it Again…

Singer Erykah Badu once again courts controversy, this time with her extremely not safe for work video for her remake of Roberta Flack’s 1972 classic “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.”

Erykah teams up with the Flaming Lips and her sister Nayrok, who is actually the person who makes this video NSFW.

Though Erykah is clearly nude during her bathtub scene, it is Nayrok who gives us the full monty… and then some.

If music videos were given ratings, and after this one they just might be, the visuals for The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face would get an NC-17.
