Singers Estelle and Toni Braxton were in Park City, Utah earlier this week to attend Vibe’s party benefitting the Children’s Miracle Network. The ladies were joined by Access Hollywood correspondent Jamal Munnerlyn, actors Rockmand Dunbar (Soul Food), Omari Hardwick (For Colored Girls) and Vibe Editor-in-Chief Jermaine Hall.
This was Toni’s first public outing since a Lupus flare-up caused her to be hospitalized just over a week ago.
The 44-year old Maryland native assured her fans via Twitter she was fine and even revealed plans to perform several small shows in the coming weeks.
Check out the video for ‘Thank You,’ the new single from British export, Estelle.
The song was written and produced by Akon and Jerry Wonder, and will be featured on Estelle’s upcoming ‘All of Me’ album, due out later this year.
The video is extremely stripped down, forcing you to pay attention to the lyrics rather than the imagery and according to Estelle, she wanted it that way.
“If I was going to do a song written by someone else, I wanted it to be done right. I wanted it to be something I felt through my heart, through my body, through my mind. When the words came in for this song, I was just… by the time I got to the chorus of this song, I was damn near crying. It just resonated just SO much with me. I play it for my guy friends and THEY even start crying. It’s just that kind of song. I’m honored to be able to bring it to you”
