The Scandal star recently purchased the rights to Aimee Molloy’s debut novel of the same name and intends to bring the story to the big screen via her Simpson Street production company.

Actress Kerry Washington is putting her production deal with ABC to good use. According to published reports, Kerry is producing a new all-female police drama for the network titled Patrol. The series will reportedly follow four policewomen who are forced to reconnect in order to confront a secret that won’t stay buried.

Kerry Washington’s latest collaboration has her headed back to the White House. As previously reported, the Scandal actress has once again teamed up with Opi, this time to create a whole new line of Washington DC-inspired colors for the fall. Kerry Washington is adding production and development to her ever expanding resume. The Scandal star has inked an overall two-year deal with ABC studios to develop new broadcast, cable and streaming projects for the network and their low-cost boutique subsidiary, ABC Signature.
Jill Marie Jones’ new Starz drama Ash vs Evil Dead has been renewed for a second season. The really interesting part about this news, however, is that the show’s premiere episode isn’t scheduled to air until until October 31.
Starz clearly has a lot of faith in the show, which is expected to air in over one-hundred countries simultaneously. The network has a history of handing out early renewals, usually citing strong affiliate demand.
